Son of Jane Davis, of 12, Narborough Road, Leicester. He went to France on 3rd May 1915 and was transferred to the Labour Corps. He died on 22nd April 1918, aged 41.

Buried: Toutencourt Communal Cemetery, France. Plot 2, Row A. Grave 10.

His brother Lance Corporal Sam L. Davis, Queen’s Royal Lancers, also fell in the Great War.
