Son of Thomas William and Mary Bryan Davies, of Welshpool, Montgomeryshire. He was commissioned into the 3/6th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment, on 6th January 1916 and joined the 1/6th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment at Bellacourt, on 18th July 1916. He died in hospital on 18th September 1916, aged 35.
