Battalion: 10th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born at Sheffield. Son of A. and Emma Davidson, of Tulloch House, Woodseats, Sheffield, Yorkshire. He was a student prior to joining the 4th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment, 15th August 1914. He went to France on 4th September 1915 with the 1st Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment and was posted to the 10th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment, 9th February 1916. He rejoined the 1st Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment, 13th January 1917 and was wounded on 4th March 1917 during the attack at Andover and died of wounds, 5th March 1917.
