Battalion: 16th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born and lived at Hanley, Stoke-On-Trent, Staffordshire. Son of John Thomas and Susannah Davey, of 70, Botteslow Street, Hanley, Stoke-On-Trent. He was a pottery moulder runner prior to enlisting at Hanley. He was killed in action, 2nd August 1917, aged 21, whilst serving in the line at St. Julian, near Ypres, Belgium.
