Born and lived at Ramsgate, Kent. Son of Harry and Ellen Ann Darby, of 34, High Street, St. Lawrence, Ramsgate. He enlisted at Ramsgate and was killed in action, 5th October 1918, aged 28, in the British attack at Guizancourt Farm, Near Gouy, France.
