Born at Biggleswade, Bedfordshire. Son of F. Daniels and Alice Johnson, of Ashfield, Harlequin, Radcliffe-On-Trent, Nottinghamshire. He was a printer prior to enlisting on 8th May 1912 at Nottingham. He went to France on 28th February 1915 and suffered gunshot wounds to his left arm, on 26th June 1915. he was taken to No. 4 General Hospital Versailles, on 29th June 1915 and was transferred to England on 1st July 1915. He returned to France on 3rd March 1916 and suffered gunshot wounds to his spine on 23rd April 1916. He died, on 14th May 1916, aged 24, from a fracture of his eight dorsal vertebrae (broken back) and paralysis at 2nd Canadian General Hospital, Le Treport, France.
