Born and lived at Leicester. Son of Hiram and Elizabeth Dagley, of 81 Highcross Street, Leicester. Husband of Edith Dagley, of 120 Grange Lane, Leicester. He was a shoe hand prior to enlisting at Leicester. He was killed in action, 21st March 1918, whilst holding the line near Noreuil, France on the opening day of the German Spring Offensive or (Kaiserschlact)
