Corporal Thomas Cunningham

Battalion: 1st Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Born and lived at Derby. Son of Thomas and Jane Cunningham, of 244 Stockbrook Street, Derby. He was a labourer prior to enlisting on 16th July 1909 at Derby. He served in India from 20th September 1910 to 2nd September 1914. He went to France on 4th November 1914 and was appointed Lance Corporal, 10th February 1915. He was promoted Corporal, 8th June 1915 and was killed in action by German shellfire whilst serving in the trenches near La Gorgue, France.
Died: 19th June 1915.
