Sergeant Bertram Cunliffe

Battalion: 11th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Born at Rawtenstall, Lancashire and lived at new Mills, Derbyshire. Grandson of Henry and Ellen Cunliffe, of 23 Kay Street, Rawtenstall. Husband of Margeret Cunliffe. He was a grocer’s assistant prior to enlisting at Buxton, Derbyshire. He went to France on 27th August 1915 and was killed in action, 24th September 1917, whilst serving in the line near Zillebeke, Belgium.
