Born and lived in Nottingham. Son of William Thomas and Elizabeth Croxford of 57, Hawthorne, Street, Meadows, Nottingham. he was a coal miner prior to enlisting on 22nd March 1915 at Nottingham. He was discharged no longer physically fir for military service, 2nd August 1917 and died 4th February 1919, aged 22, from pulmonary tuberculosis.
Buried: Wilford (St. Wilfrid) Churchyard, Special Memorial, Nottingham, United Kingdom.
