Born at Pilsley, Derbyshire. Son of John and Marie Crowe, of Station Road, Morton, Derbyshire. Husband of Alice Rymer (formerly Crowe), of 17, Compton Street, Holmewood, Chesterfield, Derbyshire. He was a coal miner prior to enlisting at Chesterfield. He was killed in action, 10th October 1918, age 35, during the British attack near Bohain, France.
