Lance Corporal Arthur Crossdale

Battalion: 10th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Born and lived at Whittington, Derbyshire. Son of John and Sarah Ann Crossdale, of 79, London Street, New Whittington. He was an iron moulder prior to enlisting at Chesterfield, Derbyshire. He was killed in action, 31st October 1916, whilst serving in Larkhill Trench during the Battle of the Somme. 
Commemorated: Thiepval Memorial, France. Pier and Face 10 C 10 D and 11 A.
