Sergeant Henry Crofts

Battalion: 15th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Born and lived at Milford, Derbyshire. Son of Henry and Lydia Eunis Crofts, of 10 Derby Road, Belper, Derbyshire. He was a moulder prior to enlisting at Derby. He was killed in action, 23rd August 1916, whilst serving in Maltz Horn Trench, near Talus Bois, during the Battle of the Somme.
Commemorated: Thiepval Memorial, France. Pier and Face 10 C 10 D and 11 A.
