Lance Corporal George Crockford

Battalion: 1st Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born at Horninglow, Staffordshire and lived at Burton-upon-Trent, Staffordshire. Son of William Henry and Eliza Crockford., of 247 Uxbridge Street, Burton-upon-Trent. he enlisted at Derby and went to France on 4th November 1914 and was killed in action, 17th March 1915, age 22, in the British attack at Neuve Chappelle, France.
