Born and lived in Nottingham. Son of Frederic George W. and Harriett Crinage, of 87, St Mathias Road, Nottingham. He was a joiner prior to enlisting on 28th June 1911 at Nottingham. He went to France on 11th November 1914 and died of wounds, 19th February 1915, age 22, as a result of being accidentally shot in the chest on the 4th February 1915, by a fellow comrade.
