Born at Swindon, Wiltshire. Son of Fred and Lilly Creighton, of South Street, Broad Chalke, Salisbury, Wiltshire. He was a Baker prior to enlisting on 11th November 1915 at Salisbury. He went to France 4th October 1916 with the Wiltshire Regiment and was sent back to England, being under-age for overseas service 24th February 1917. He was transferred to the 2/5th Battalion Bedfordshire Regiment 17th March 1917. He returned to France 3rd April 1918 and was transferred to the 15th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment 4th April 1918. He received gunshot wounds to his left hand and right knee 14th October 1918 and died of wounds in the 3rd Canadian Hospital Boulogne, France 30th January 1919, aged 19.
