Born and lived at Beckenham, Kent. Son of Arthur Walker Cree and Elizabeth Cree (Nee Newby), of “Brodsworth,” 124, Bromley Road, Beckenham, Kent. He was an Articled Clerk. He was commissioned into the 2/6th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment 4th March 1915. He went to France 12th July 1915 and joined the 1/6th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment 8th August 1915 at Sanctuary Wood, Belgium and was killed in action, 20th July 1916, aged 29, by German Shellfire whilst serving in the line near Bellacourt, France.
