Battalion: 17th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Son of Henry and Ellen Crawley, of 19, Mill Street, Apsley End, Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire. He was a farmhand prior to enlisting at Hemel Hempstead. He was killed in action, 20th October 1916, age 19, during the German attack on the British line near Martinsart Wood, During the Battle of the Somme.
