Born in Leeds, Yorkshire. Son of George and Emily Crawford, of 21 Camden Street, Walsall, Staffordshire. Husband of Caroline, Crawford, of 67 Highgate Terrace, Walsall, Staffordshire. He was a brewery clerk prior to enlisting at Walsall. He was killed in action, 21st November 1917, whilst serving in the line near Cite St. Pierre, France.
