Born at Balderton, Nottinghamshire. Son of Joseph and Susanna Cragg, of 53 Halton Gardens, Newark, Nottinghamshire. Husband of Ada Cragg, of 25A, Albert Street, Newark. He was a sugar confectioner boilers assistant prior to enlisting in May 1916 at Newark. He was killed in action, 12th April 1917, on the Sunken Road, between, Metz and Gouzeaucourt, France.
