Born and lived at Nottingham. Son of John Thomas and Sarah Jane Cox, of 6, Clyde Street, Nottingham. He was an apprentice clerk prior to enlisting at Nottingham. He died of wounds, 13th April 1918, aged 22, at 57 Field Ambulance, Meteren, France.
