Born and lived at Leicester. Son of Alfred and Emily Cox, of, 8, Carley Street, Leicester; Husband of Kate Cox, of, 13, Crane Street, Leicester. He was a bootmaker prior to enlisting at Leicester. He was killed in action, 26th November 1916, aged 21, whilst serving in the line near Arras.
