Born at Sunderland. Son of John Richardson and Ethel May Cowling, of Bay Horse Farm, Croft-On-Tees, Darlington. He enlisted at Sunderland and died of wounds, 7th December 1917, aged 20.

Buried: Rocquigny-Equancourt Road British Cemetery, Manancourt, France. Plot 6. Row D. Grave 18.
