Born and lived at Coton Cambridgeshire. Son of Luke and Maria Cousins, of Coton, Cambridgeshire. He was a farm labourer prior to enlisting at Cambridge. He was killed in action, 11th December 1917, aged 19, whilst serving in the trenches at Flesquieres, France.

Buried: Ribecourt Road Cemetery, Trescault, France. Plot 1. Row C. Grave 17.
