Son of Thomas Lambert Anthony and Alice Mary Cousins, of “Montpelier”, Mapperley Plains, Nottingham. he was a bank clerk prior to gaining a commission as Second Lieutenant 13th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment on the 14th April 1915. He was promoted Lieutenant and was killed in action, 21st March 1918, aged 22, whilst holding the line near Morchies, France on the opening day of the German Spring Offensive or (Kaiserschlact)
