Battalion: 11th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born art St. Helen’s Lancashire. Son of Jonathan and Mary Alice Corwell, of 268, Derby Road, Birdholme, Chesterfield, Derbyshire. He was a turner in a steelworks prior to enlisting at Chesterfield. He went to France on 28th August 1915 and died of wounds, 4th February 1916, aged 20.
