Battalion : 16th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born and lived at Winster, Derbyshire. Son of John and Annie Corless, of East Bank, Winster. He was a farm servant prior to enlisting at Bakewell, Derbyshire and was killed in action, 4th June 1916, during the attack near Givenchy, France.
