He was born at Holborn, Middlesex. Husband of Flora Eliza Cork, of 21 Canonbury Square, Islington, London. He was a cinema assistant prior to enlisting on 27th November 1915 at Holloway, London. He went to France on 26th February 1917 and was killed in action, 26th September 1917, in the attack on the German line at Otto Farm near Gravenstafel, Belgium.
