Born in Nottingham and lived at 1 Byron Yard, Sneinton, Nottingham. Son of Thomas and Annie Corcoran, of 33, Pipe Street, Nottingham. He was a professional soldier and served in India. He went to France on 4th November 1914 and was killed in action, 1st June 1916, during the German shelling of the British trenches at Bully-Grenay, France.
