Private John Corbett
Army Number: 4170
Battalion: 2nd Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Born and lived at Snieinton, Nottingham. Son of Thomas and Louisa Corbett, of 22 Hermit Street, Snieinton, Nottingham. He was a general labourer prior to enlisting on 14th July 1910. He went to France on 11th November 1914 and was killed in action, 9th August 1915, in the attack on the German positions at Sanctuary Wood near Ypres, Belgium.
