Born at Hinckley, Leicestershire. Son of James and Rhoda Copson, of 7 Independence Hill, Nottingham. Husband of Violet Copson. He was a cardboard Trade Worker prior to enlisting at Nottingham. He was killed in action, 16th September 1917, during a raid of the German line near Plouvain, France.
