Battalion: 11th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Son of John and Ada L. Coppen, of Borough Green, Newmarket. Husband of Charlotte Coppen, He was a farm stock tender prior to enlisting at Newark. He went to France on 18th August 1915 and died of wounds, 19th October 1917, aged 20.

Buried: Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery, Belgium. Plot 24. Row A. Grave 19.
