Battalion: 9th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born at Staveley and lived at Whittington Moor, Derbyshire. Brother of Mrs Sarah Ann Bingham. of 72 King’s Street, Whittington Moor. He enlisted at Chesterfield and went to France on 18th September 1915. He was killed in action, 26th September 1916, whilst in Hessian and Zollern trenches near Thiepval, during the Battle of the Somme.
