Lance Corporal Ernest Cooper

Battalion: 2/6th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born at Tinsley, Derbyshire. Son of Samuel and Annie Elizabeth Cooper, of 21, South Casebourne Road, West Hartlepool. He was an ironworks labourer prior to enlisting at West Hartlepool, County Durham. He went to France on 29th August 1915 and was killed in action, 30th November 1917, aged 26, whilst the battalion was moving forward to positions near Equancourt, France.
