Born at Ecclesfield, Yorkshire. Son of John and Harriet Ann Cook, of 84 Beechwood Road, Hillsborough, Sheffield. Husband of Jessie Cook, of 17, Wadsley Lane, Sheffield, Yorkshire. He was a clerk prior to enlisting at Sheffield. He was Killed in action, 21st March 1918, aged 29, whilst holding the line near Noreuil, France on the opening day of the German Spring Offensive or (Kaiserschlact)
