Born in Liverpool. Son of James and Hannah Conway, of 68 Salisbury Road, Everton. Husband of Eleanor Conway. He was a police constable prior to enlisting at Liverpool. He died of wounds, on 5th July 1916, received in action, on 3rd July 1916, during the attack on the German positions in front of Fricourt village during the Battle of the Somme.
