Born at Undelby, Lincolnshire. and lived at Old Bolingbroke, Spilsby. Son of William and Esther Mary Veall, (formerly Comins) of Old Bolingbroke, Spilsby, Lincolnshire. He was a farm wagoner prior to enlisting at Spilsby. He was killed in action, 3rd October 1917, whilst the Battalion was at Locre, Belgium.

Buried : Bedford House Cemetery, Belgium. Enclosure No.4 Plot 8. Row E. 3 Grave 34.
