Battalion : 1st Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Born at Penrith, Cumbria. Son of John Gamble Collins and Mary Elizabeth Collins. He was a grocers apprentice prior to enlisting 30th March 1917 at Kendall, Cumbria into the 5th Battalion Manchester Regiment. He was transferred to the 1st Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment, 4th April 1918 and died whilst a prisoner of war 4th November 1918, aged 19.
