Son of Joseph and Winifred Collins, of Newhall, Burton-On-Trent; Husband of Frances Annie Collins, of 39, Market Street, Swadlincote, Derbyshire. he enlisted 7th April 1915 at Derby and went to France 10th November 1915. He was admitted to No. 19 Casualty Clearing Station, suffering from influenza and tonsillitis and died of septic pneumonia at No. 2 Canadian General Hospital, Le Treport, France, 2nd December 1916, age 32.
