Born and lived at Nottingham. Son of George and Ada Collins, of 8 Hazelwood Road, Hyson Green, Nottingham. Husband of Mary Collins. He was a lace curtain changer and card puncher prior to enlisting at Nottingham. He was killed in action, 23rd June 1917, by German shellfire, whilst serving in the trenches near Leivin, France,
