Battalion : 16th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born at West Dene, Chichester, Sussex. Brother of Herbert Collins, of 24, Clifton Road, Worthing, Sussex. He enlisted 3rd May 1916 at London into the Balloon Party of the Royal Flying Corps and went to France 18th September 1916. He was transferred to the 16th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment, 24th September 1917. He was killed in action, 24th March 1918, age 41, whilst in the line at Clery-sur-Somme, France.
