Born at Beeston, Nottingham. Son of John and Rebecca Collington, of Wymeswold, Loughborough; Husband of Julia Ann Collington, of 40, Mountsorrel Road, Quorn, Loughborough. He was a labourer at Brush Electrical Engineering Company pior to enlisting 26th February 1914 at Nottingham. He went to France 3rd October 1914 and died of wounds at No. 25 Field Ambulance, Estaires, France, 28th January 1915, aged 28.
