Born at Rougley, Staffordshire and lived at Shirebrook, Derbyshire. Son of Joseph and Sarah Ann Collier, of 45, Prospect Drive, Shirebrook, Derbyshire. Husband of Emma Bradbury (formerly Collier), of 64, Vale Drive, Shirebrook. He enlisted at Mansfield, Nottinghamshire and went to France 11th October 1915 and was killed in action, 1st October 1916, aged 34, in the attack on the German potions near Flers, France, during the Battle of the Somme.
