Born and lived at Longton, Staffordshire. Son of George and Catherine Colley, of 229 Uttoxeter Road, Longton. He was a gardener prior to enlisting at Longton. He went to France 2nd November 1915 and died of wounds, 7th December 1917, aged 23, at Tooting Hospital, London.
