Born and lived at Arnold, Nottinghamshire. Son of William and Maria Colledge, of Calverton Road, Arnold. He was a coal miner at Gedling colliery, Nottinghamshire prior to enlisting at Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire. He was killed in action, 13th April 1918, during a German attack on teh postions at Wulverghem, Belgium.
