Born and lived in London. Son of John and Ellen Cocklin, if 1 Tile Yard St. Anne’s Row, Limehouse, London. He was a galvaniser in an iron works prior to enlisting at Stepney, London. He was killed in action, 30th June 1917, whilst serving in the line near Beaucamps, France.

Died : 30th June 1917.

Buried : Metz-En-Couture Communal Cemetery British Extension, France. Plot 2. Row A. Grave 12.
