Private Alfred Cochrane

Battalion : 15th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Born and lived at Stoke Newington, London. Son of Benjamin and Mary Ann Cochrane, of 6, Goldsmith Square, Stoke Newington, London. He was a motor driver prior to enlisting 29th February 1916 at Stratford, London. He went to France 2nd January 1918, transferred to the 17th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment, 17th January 1918 and was posted to the 15th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment, 8th February 1918. He was killed in action, 24th March 1918, age 25, whilst serving in the line to the east of the Albert/Bray road, France.
