Born Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire. Son of Giles and Louisa Clements, of Gloucestershire. Husband of Louisa Clements, of 107, Minerva Street, Bulwell, Nottingham. He was a coal miner prior to enlisting on 29th April 1915 at Nottingham. He went to France on 6th March 1916 and was killed in action, 12th July 1916, during a raid on the German trenches at Ferme au Bois, France.
