Born and lived in Melbourne, Derbyshire. Son of William Wright and Jane Clements; Husband of Alice Clements, of Chapel Street, Melbourne, Derbyshire. He enlisted at Derby and served in India. He went to France on 8th September 1914 and was killed in action on 20th October 1914, aged 30, when the battalion held position south-east of Bois Grenier, Ennetieres/Escobecques, France against a German attack.
