Battalion: 16th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born at Dulais Higher, Glamorganshire. Son of Frank and Margaret Cleaver, of 12, Woodland Road, Neath Glamorganshire. Husband of Keturah Cleaver, of 33, Alexander Street, Neath, Glamorganshire. He was a storeman prior to enlisting on 10th April 1915 at Neath. He went to France on 10th April 1916 and was transferred to the 16th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment, 2nd February 1917. He was killed in action, 22nd September 1917, aged 39, during the attack at Bulgar Wood, Belgium.

Died: 22nd September 1917, age 39.
